Mini-Game: Perfect Reel

A free playable mini-game built on the codex rarity ladder: bite window, tension bar, Moon Whales.

▲ click the canvas to cast · never camp the red zone

What this is

A playable fan mini-game: cast, wait, strike inside the window, then fight on the tension bar. The feel comes straight from the Fish Codex's rarity ladder — commons are docile, legends give you the shortest window of your life. Three lines; break them all and the day ends.

Three rules

The bite

After the bobber dips there is a shrinking window (0.55s common → 0.39s legendary); click inside it to hook. Early reeling spooks the fish.

The fight

Hold to reel (tension rises), release to ease; the green band drains stamina, the red zone grinds line HP to a snap.

Rarity pricing

Sardine $5 to Moon Whale $600 — the codex's price list verbatim. The legend pulls nearly 5x harder.

Mechanic origin: the rarity & price ladder in the Fish Codex — completion day you only fish five species; this game works the same.

“After the Moon Whale snapped two of my lines in the mini-game, I finally understood the codex line "legends give you the shortest window" — it was never about the rod. It is the heartbeat.”
